How You Can Help...

Ways you can become involved with youth in your area...

There are many ways that boat owners can help Sea Scouts:

  • Volunteer to help lead or organize a Sea Scout Ship (unit) in your community;
  • Make your vessel available for taking Sea Scouts on training cruises; and
  • Consider donating your retired marine vessel to Sea Scouting.

  • Character development
  • Citizenship training
  • Personal fitness
The annual "Friends of Scouting" campaign enables the Cascade Pacific Council, Boy Scouts of America to continue providing an outstanding program to more than 48,000 youth in our community. Through our children, families, and communities are stronger and better prepared for the future.

When you give a gift, you support:
Scouting programs throughout 18 counties in NW Oregon and SW Washington for more than 48,000 youth.
  • Camping experiences for over 12,000 youth.
  • Basic and advanced training for youth and adults.
  • A professional staff to provide program and administrative support to over 15,000 Scout leaders.
  • Camperships for youth who need financial assistance for camp.
  • Maintenance and operation of more than 2,900 acres of camp property.
  • As a Friend of Scouting, your contribution has a measurable, positive effect.
Among kids involved in outdoor Scouting programs:

86% say they tried something they never had.
80% say they made a new friend.
72% say they learned a skill from another Scout.
